Power was restored to Bear Creek Elementary at 8:00 a.m. Facilities and Technology staff are onsite ensuring systems are back online. Students have returned to their normal schedule. Thank you to parents and staff for a smooth arrival and start to the day at The Creek.

Oncor is working to resolve the issue and has estimated that power will be restored by 8:30 a.m. We will send another update once we confirm that power is fully restored and all systems are operational. 7 a.m.

Bear Creek Power Outage Update

The facilities team is on site and has confirmed with Oncor that the power outage is due to a car collision with a utility pole near our campus. We do not currently have an estimated time of restoration, but our campus is preparing to welcome students at the normal start time. Please allow for traffic delays as your normal route to the campus may be impacted by the response to the car collision.

6:30 a.m.

Bear Creek Elementary is currently experiencing a power outage. The GCISD facilities team is responding to the campus to try to identify the issue and connect with Oncor. EDP is operating on a normal schedule and a modified breakfast will be served. We will keep you informed of updates as we receive them.
