She teaches French I, Spanish I and PALS, and has also taught AVID and ESL. Mrs. Leonard graduated from Trinity High School in Euless in 1994 and from UT Arlington in 99 with a BA in French and a BA in Spanish. She also studied at the University of Grenoble in France for 6 months and had an amazing experience!
Maria was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to the US at age 5 (almost...4 months shy of 5.) She has been to 14 countries and wishes she had more time and money to go to more! She has two sisters and one teaches at Timberline. Her family is everything to her and when they get together it's like My Big Fat Greek Wedding!
Maria is married to Brook Leonard and has three children, Isa (17), a former Wolf, Tucker (5), and a bonus daughter named Bella (18) who attends University of Alabama.
Mrs. Leonard cannot wait to hand Isa her diploma in May when she graduates from GHS. She has been in this district since age 3 at the ECDC!
Maria loves to sing and dance and do karaoke, and loves teaching here at CTMS and being part of the wolf pack! HOOOOWWWLLLL!
